          One of the two articles that best defines the core of my research topic is Adverse Health Consequences of Performance-Enhancing Drugs: An Endocrine Society Scientific Statement, by Harrison Pope, Ruth Wood, Alan Rogol, Fred Nyber, Larry Bowers, and Shalender Bhasin. This article was published by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI). The second article that best defines the core of my research topic is The Only Good Reason to Ban Steroids in Baseball: To Prevent an Arms Race, by Jacob Beck. This article was published by the magazine The Atlantic. These two articles provide a great deal of research pertaining to performance enhancing drugs. Blog Week 11

Research Project Outline Intro: First, I am going to start my essay with an anecdote. I have a few ideas to start with. I want to captivate the audience’s attention with a strong short story about a famous athlete who has been caught with performance enhancing drugs. My ideas so far include the stories about cyclist Lance Armstrong, or perhaps a baseball player such as Mark McGwire or Barry Bonds. Having hopefully gotten the audience’s attention with my anecdote above, I would like then formally introduce the audience to my topic and then my thesis. My thesis, as of now, states that professional athletes that take performance enhancing drugs should be banned for life from their respective sport.
